Beeswax candle, in green glass

Why burning Beeswax Candles is such a great idea.

Beeswax has been used in candle making for centuries, in fact a spooky discovery was made in a cemetery in Germany where beeswax candles were found that dated back to the 6th century.  Not only were these candles discovered, but they were still useable!  Beeswax has not just been used in candles, but has held an air of authority, often used in royal stamps for document seals, found in the tombs of Egypt and aboard old Viking ships, showing humans have always know the value and prestige of beeswax.

One of the properties that makes beeswax so alluring is that it never spoils, and can be melted and reused.  It is non-toxic and is said to burn brighter, cleaner and for longer.  As beeswax burns it releases negative ions, which attaches itself to pollens, dust, odours and other particles in the air, making these pollutants heavier than air and weighing them down to the ground.  As such, beeswax acts as an air purifier.  Burning a beeswax candle and then vacuuming the floor can help to clean the air around you.  This is especially useful for people with allergies and asthma, or anyone who desires cleaner air quality in their house or workplace.

We use a blend of beeswax and soy wax to create our candles, because they are a match made in heaven for lovers of beautiful, high quality candles.  For the most part, beeswax is generally a tough wax, coarse and brittle when cool, but doesn't like too happily burn in a containers.  Soy on the other hand is much softer and smoother consistency and loves to burn in a container.  When blended together they create a superior candle that has the health benefits of beeswax and the crafting ability of soy. This is why we use a quality bee and soy wax blend to create our premium candles.

Our new range of BeeSoy Candles are not only a beautiful natural wax to use, but we have blended them with high quality essential oils to create quality, long lasting aromatherapy candles.  So, why not try one today and enjoy the benefits of beeswax candles in your home.
